Account & Data Deletion

You have the right to permanently delete your PSX Invest account and the personal data associated with it. Choose the path below that matches your situation — the self-service option is fastest.

If you can sign in

Sign in to your account and use the self-service deletion in Settings. Your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion after a 14-day grace period, which you can cancel any time.

If you can't sign in

If you've lost access to your account, email support@psxinvest.com from the email address registered to your account. Include the email you used to sign up. We'll verify ownership and delete the account within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • ✕Account profile (name, email, password, sign-in records)
  • ✕Watchlists, preferences, and notification settings
  • ✕In-app notifications and alert history
  • ✕Portfolio entries, transactions, and snapshots
  • ✕Chart analyses you uploaded and the underlying images
  • ✕Chat history with Ask Bill
  • ✕Community posts, comments, likes, and reports authored by you
  • ✕Push notification tokens
  • ✕Activity logs and intraday signal history

What we retain (and why)

A small amount of data is retained even after deletion, either because the law requires it or because we need it to prevent abuse. None of this data identifies you publicly:

  • Anonymized payment records — required by Pakistani tax and accounting law (FBR, SECP). Stripped of identifying details and kept for the legally mandated 6-year retention period.
  • Audit logs — required for fraud prevention. Limited to action timestamps and IP hashes (no personal data).
  • Aggregate analytics — already anonymized before storage; not removable per-user.

Timeline

    You request deletion
    Via Settings (if signed in) or by emailing support.
  2. 2
    14-day grace period
    Your account is scheduled but not yet deleted. You can cancel any time during this window from the banner on your dashboard.
  3. 3
    Permanent deletion
    Your account and all listed data above are deleted within 24 hours of the grace period ending. Cannot be reversed.
